Create form logics

Different logics within the form can be used for different purposes. This article provides an overview.

Conditional logic is Funnelforms' most powerful psychological tool. This logic allows you to create highly complex forms that make your visitors feel picked up and understood in a very special way.

Funnelforms can react intelligently to user input and answers and ask subsequent questions according to the visitor's response.

To add a logic selection at a certain step, simply drag the question in the form editor under the next question. The “Sort” button then helps you to create an organized view:

In this example, we ask the visitor a simple selection question in the second step of the form and would like to redirect them to another question according to the answer given.

To do this, use the purple connection points of the answers as usual and connect the answers with the next desired question. The result should look something like this:

To finish, click on the “Save” button in the top right-hand corner of the page. A message appears: “Save successful”.

If an error occurs, an error message will appear. In this case, check your form for completeness and duplicate or missing connections or integration configurations. If no error is apparent, please contact our support team.

Further options

In the following examples, we provide an overview of the various options that can be implemented with Funnelforms and the logic.

More than two questions in the logic branch

In this example, we have added a third question in the same logic branch, as this answer should also ask another follow-up question. You can create an unlimited number of questions and connect them accordingly.

Direct forwarding

You can also disqualify within the form. In this example, for the question “How big is your company”, we have redirected all visitors who select “sole proprietorship” to an exit page (thank you page for disqualification). The remaining answer options are redirected to the contact form and are allowed to make an inquiry.

No contact form

This example shows a popular use of funnel forms for configurators or product finders. You have the option of not storing a contact form and only redirecting visitors to a suitable URL based on the answers given.

Note: In this example, the visitor's responses are not saved, as there is no contact form and therefore no data transfer of personal data can take place.

Multiple logic branches and contact forms

In this example, we have several logic branches and contact forms. Depending on the answers given, you can also use several contact forms within one form and change the autoresponders there accordingly, for example, in order to respond directly to the visitor's answers.

Slider with condition

In this example, we ask a budget question, which forks out into a switch depending on the answer given. If the visitor states that they have a budget of more than $1000, the form will lead to the first switch; if the visitor states that they have a budget of less than $1000, the form will lead to the second switch. In this way, leads can be qualified or disqualified in a targeted manner.

Be creative! The possibilities with conditional logic are almost unlimited!

Finally, click on the “Save” button at the top right of the page. A message will appear: “Save successful”.
If errors occur or entries are missing, a corresponding error message will appear. In this case, check your form for completeness and duplicate or missing connections or integration configurations. If no error is apparent, please contact our support team.
