Create new contact form

To create a new contact form, click on the menu item “Contact forms” in the plugin menu:

If you import a demo form, the corresponding contact form is also imported at the same time, which can then be edited individually by clicking on it.

Otherwise, you can create a new contact form via the plus button at the bottom left of the screen and go to the settings:

Note: Although Funnelforms is a Multi Step Form, you can also use it to create contact forms without the need to ask questions first. However, from the point of view of the interaction rate with the form, we recommend asking a question first.

First add a title for your contact form, this will also be displayed in the frontend above the form. Optionally, you can also create a description below the title. It makes sense to use a CTA here, which asks the visitor to leave their contact details.

You can then drag and drop the elements from the left sidebar into the form and sort them as desired.

In addition to a customizable salutation field, name field, an e-mail field, a telephone field and additional SMS verification, you have a freely configurable text field, a checkbox, Google reCaptcha for use against spam and an HTML content field at your disposal.

Attention: Please only use the elements provided for the name field, the e-mail field and the telephone field. These elements contain tags for browsers that enable automatic completion and are therefore quicker for your visitor to fill in.

The checkbox can typically be used to agree to the privacy policy. HTML can also be used in the description field of the checkbox, e.g. to link to the privacy policy and open it in a new tab when clicked:

Note: To link the privacy policy of the checkbox, the following code is usually sufficient: <a href="/your-url">your text</a>. A “target=”_blank" does not need to be included, as the linked page already opens automatically in a new window.

The HTML content field can be used for any content in HTML form, e.g. for H headings, texts, images or separators:

Once you have added all your desired elements, you can open the detailed settings by clicking on the element.

Please enter an ID for all fields, this is important for the delivery of the email. You can also define the label and a placeholder in the detailed settings. If you want the field to be a mandatory field, activate the checkbox next to “Required field”:

Click on the [Send button] to define the label of the send button.

Finally, click on the “Save” button at the top right of the page. A message will appear: “Save successful”. If errors occur or entries are missing, an error message will appear.
