The “HTML content” question can be filled with individual content, a summary of the answers or a calculation result.
The HTML content question is different from all other question types in the sense that no user data is collected here.
The element can be used as an intermediate step to explain the following questions or as a welcome page, for example with a video.
In addition, all answers selected by the user up to this step can be displayed as a summary and calculation results.
1. Create question
Select the question type “HTML content” in the left sidebar by clicking on it. The editor will then change in the middle of the screen.
Click on the title of the question to open a sidebar on the right with the following settings.
a) Question title
The question title is the actual question you want to ask the user. For example: “Watch this explanation video:”.
b) JavaScript code
You can execute JavaScript within each question. This is mainly intended for measuring and evaluating. For example, a specific event for advertising networks can be triggered in the question.
c) Description
Click on the description of the question to open a sidebar on the right to enter an optional description.
2. HTML content settings
Click on the field in the center and a sidebar will open on the right with the following settings.
a) HTML content
Any video, image or simply formatted HTML text content can be inserted into the HTML content area. Content from third-party providers that can be embedded via script can also be used.
b) Waiting time (in milliseconds) until the next automatic step
By entering a waiting time in milliseconds, all arrows or buttons are hidden and the question is shown to the user until the time has expired and the next question appears automatically. This is useful if you want to make sure that the user has fully read or understood the content.
c) Button to continue
If the checkbox for “Button to continue” is set, the arrows and the status bar below the question are hidden and only a button appears (useful for welcome pages). The button text can be defined individually.
3. Funnelforms elements
In addition to individual content, elements from Funnelforms can also be displayed / used in the HTML content question.
a) Summary of previous answers
To show the user a summary of the previous answers as an overview, insert the tag [ANSWERS] in the HTML content area. This allows users to check their entries again for important forms and correct them if necessary.
b) Show calculation result
To display the result of a previous calculation to the user, insert the tag of the corresponding calculation, for example [CALCULATION-123] in the HTML content area. The user sees the result of the calculation and can then move on to the next question.
To finish, click on the “Save” button in the top right-hand corner of the page. A message appears: “Saved successfully!”. If errors occur or entries are missing, an error message will appear. Click on the error message to see what exactly is wrong.
You can also create a new question directly by clicking on the “New question” button. The current content is then saved and a new question is created.
