What this is about

Cancelling ends your Funnelforms subscription at the end of the currently paid period. All features and limits stay available until then — afterwards your account drops back to the Free limits. The whole flow runs directly from inside Funnelforms via Paddle.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in.
  • You have an active Paddle-billed subscription (not: a manually assigned plan, not: Free).
  • Permission to manage the subscription (account owner).

Where to find it

Sidebar → Profile → Billing tab → Cancel Subscription button.

What happens when you cancel?

  • Funnelforms opens a dialog with a cancellation reason and a free comment field.
  • The cancellation is logged internally (table cancellations, status pending).
  • Funnelforms then calls the cancel-paddle-subscription Edge Function, which registers the cancellation with Paddle.
  • Your subscription stays active until the expiry date — in Billing you'll see Active until DD.MM.YYYY.
  • After expiry, your account automatically switches to Free.

Step-by-step: cancelling

  1. Open Profile → Billing.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Select a cancellation reason in the dialog (required). Available options include: too expensive, too complicated, missing features, business closed, no results, no time, switched to another provider, technical problems, not what expected.
  4. Optionally add free text under Details.
  5. Click Confirm. The button processes, the dialog closes and a toast confirms submission.
  6. In the Billing overview the status switches to cancelled with an expiry date.

Resubscribing

While your subscription is still running, you can click Resubscribe in the Billing tab — it takes you straight to the Plans tab where you can book again.

Best practices

  • Export your lead data before the expiry date if you want to keep it outside of Funnelforms.
  • If only specific features are missing, consider a plan switch via the Plans tab before cancelling.
  • Use the optional comment in the dialog — it helps us improve Funnelforms in a targeted way.

Common pitfalls

  • "Confirm" button disabled: no cancellation reason has been selected yet.
  • "Cancellation failed — please contact support": the cancellation is saved in Funnelforms but Paddle did not confirm it. Please reach out to support so we can sync the Paddle side manually.
  • Plan still shows "active" after cancelling: that's correct — all features stay live until the expiry date. The status only switches afterwards.
  • You don't see a cancel button: your plan was assigned manually or you are on Free — there's nothing to cancel.

Tips & notes

Note: Cancelling is not the same as deleting your account. Your login stays, your account just drops to Free.

Tip: As long as the expiry date is in the future, you can return any time via Resubscribe — no data is lost.

FAQ

Will the current month be refunded?

No. The subscription runs to the end of the paid period and is not renewed afterwards. Prorated refunds are not granted.

What happens to my forms and leads?

They stay in your account. After expiry the Free limits apply (e.g. only 1 domain, 1 form, 1 team member, max. 10 MB file size); forms above the limit are hidden but not deleted.

Can I undo the cancellation?

Yes — as long as the period has not ended, click Resubscribe in the Billing tab and take out a new subscription.

Where do I see exactly when my subscription ends?

Under Current Plan in the Billing tab — the line reads Active until DD.MM.YYYY.

Do I get a confirmation email?

Yes, Paddle sends a cancellation confirmation to the email address stored on the subscription.
